We've had 3 workdays to rehab the bikes we collected at the City of Lancaster/WM bike collection event. Thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time to "resurrect" some bikes for the City to hand out to various youth and veterans organizations. Next workday is scheduled for Saturday, March 26th - 8am - Noon

We are also accepting applications for our Bike Mechanic Training program. Contact us for more information if you are interested in learning to be a bicycle mechanic.

We started in April 2010 at Courson Park in Palmdale by getting to know people and handing out water. I have experience as a bicycle mechanic so one day I went to the park to repair a bike for one of the people we met on our first visit. That day, while working on his bike, several people came by and asked if I could help with their bike as well. It quickly became clear that this was a huge need in our community. For the next year-and-a-half I set up a “pop-up bike shop” in the park every Thursday morning and the customers just kept coming. Soon, people were donating bikes to me to use for parts or to get running to give to someone who needed a bike for transportation.
We have grown into a 501c3 nonprofit business that is continuing to expand. We want to continue helping people who need to gain access to reliable and affordable transportation. In addition, as we move forward, we believe that there is an opportunity to help people in an even greater way and to develop more significant relationships that include mentoring/discipling, job training and life skills development.
Our amazing team of volunteers are committed to helping others. We are growing and there are many opportunities to be involved. Like to work on bikes? Love helping people? Think you would be a good fit? Get in touch for more information!
